In an effort to keep Go Kart Racing fun and very affordable for NEW TEAMS & OLD TEAMS as well as NEW COMERS , Hillbilly Raceway is oftering the use of a very affordable and reliable engine . This engine is a 6.5 196cc horsepower . At Hillbilly Raceway we will have Classes for this NEW MOTORS.

CLONE 196cc OHV ENGINE RULES
Will Run WKA Weight Rules for CLONE 196cc MOTOR KARTS so you can run two classes
The only engine allowed in this class is the 6.5 hp, (196cc engines only)
* Stock Motor
Will ONLY run BURRIS 33's TIRES
* May use stock muffler or Hillbilly header muffler , ARC muffler ONLY
* SUPER BOX STOCK CLASSES can use the Big Tube Header of any kind with WKA muffler
* All internal and external engine parts must remain stock as from factory
* No machining, porting, polishing, 196 cc only
* No Aftermarket / competitor parts allowed !!!!
* No advanced / altered timing
* Factory air filter or after market filter with adapter* allowed
* Shoe-type 11- 12 tooth clutch only
* Pump Gas only, 87-93 octane Yellow Fuel , no racing fuel, , no additives
* Must have tie-rap on plug wire to kill engine
* Alternative throttle kit allowed
* 35 chain only, no 219 chain allowed
* Tachometers allowed

Fuel Tank:
Stock fuel tank can be run Floor pan mounted fuel tank can be run. After market fuel pump of any kind is allowed. Fuel pump must be pulsed from the valve cover. Fuel line pulse hose length can be no longer than 14”.
* Engine Claim Rule:
Claim is $175.00 Engine claim to include engine only , Engine claim does not include engine mount, throttle linkage, clutch and clutch guard, Hillbilly Header Hillbilly air ad or filter. Engine claim may be made by anyone running in this class following the feature event, that is steel runing must notify track official within 5 minute of the end of the feature event to claim. The Track may also Claim Your Engine at any time or replace it with a new one at any event, if the engine is found to be illegal, you will not be allowed to compete in this class for the remainder of the season and will lose all awards for the season!
* Chassis and Body must pass all 2010 IKF or WKA Rule and Regulations
* We do have specs we will follow for tech on this engine. This class is intended for affordability and fun. For this class, take it out of the box and with little work race it!
* Any competitors found to be cheating will lose all awards , money and points No Exceptions!

BOX STOCK JUNIOR 111* – 87 Octane Gas Only - Approved engine: BS Project 6.5 OHV only, with .500 inch maximum intake restrictor, and Factory Stock exhaust required. Stamped steel drum shoe type clutches only. (Tire Local Club Tire Rule)
SUPER BOX STOCK * Age 15 years & up – 375 lbs. – GAS Only – Approved engine: BS Project 6.5 OHV only,, Stock Appearing BS Project carburetor and AKRA BIG TUBE HEADER WITH MUFFLER exhaust required. Stamped steel drum shoe type clutches only. Local Club Tire Rule)
Special Note: With the exception of the Super Box Class, these classes are intended for participation by Novice Competitors (racers without previous karting experience) in an effort to bring new clientele into our sport and industry. We also encourage the use of 2005 and older model chassis for these classes. Should you wish to purchase a new model chassis it is mandatory that your purchase one of the new non adjustable budget models available through your chassis manufactures some of which are (Ultramax, Phantom, Coyote, Phoenix, Dixie Racing and others). There may be others who are making these new models so we suggest that you check for availability.
